2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 4 We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

#1 Pray that the word of the Lord will spread.

Matthew 6:9b-10 Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Psalm 147:15 He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

Acts 18:9-10 “...Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. 10 For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city.”

2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

Galatians 1:8-9 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

2 Thessalonians 3:2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith.

#2 Pray that the Lord’s people will stand firm.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Lamentations 3:22-24 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

2 Thessalonians 3:4 We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.
